We closed on the duplex, then...
We just bought a rental property here and were cleaning it up, when we heard a meow at the door. "Staubie" appeared to have perhaps lived there before and she was looking a bit thick around the middle. After asking around the neighborhood, we decided to let her adopt us and took her home. To keep her separate from Mighty, we made her a nice little bed in the garage and went to sleep.
Look what we saw the next morning...

There goes the neighborhood!

Look how cute they are! I am so glad you took this mama cat in, you saved her life and her babies. Everything happens for a reason, and you came along at just the right time. Thank you so much for being such a great human and caring for the kitty! I love all the different colors of the kittens! The orange and black one is just cool looking. The grey one is so pretty, and of course the orange one is adorable. Sorry, we have one too many cats, or else I would offer to take one of the kittens. See http:kitikata.blogspot.com
for our kitty's blog.
What do you want to do with the Staubie and kittens? Would you like me to start asking around to see who might want a kitten a few months?
I am so so glad that you were adopted by mama kitty. That is just fantastic!
We are having loads of fun, though my 14 year old single family cat is a little chagrined at the additions. We keep them separated by a door.
If you know anyone who wants a kitten, or wants to help acclimate them to humans by interacting with them, let me know.
Staubie (Mamacat) has been very laid back about letting us handle the babies.
