Google Desktop Just Might Be Evil
Or at least as bad as AOL.
I just did a "clean" reinstall of a laptop, but without boot n nuking the drive and guess what was there when I was done? Freaking google desktop. AAAARGH.
At least I am not alone in my hatred:

You used the discs that came with the laptop to re-install the system software? Your vendor is more to blame than Google since they, not Google, bundled Google Desktop with your system.
No actually, I restored it to factory default which, as I have done this on the same machine before, did not originally have the google desktop. I can only conclude that google desktop ended up in the restore files. I managed to get rid of it in the end.
