So, our government charges our employers a percentage fee for "Unemployment Insurance." I own my own company, along with a business partner. We dutifully pay the government each pay cycle for our unemployment insurance. Yet, if my business were to tank and I were to apply for unemployment, I would be denied because I OWN the business.

Now, most of you know that I don't think any taxes make much sense, but this is a tax that is supposed to provide me with a benefit-  BUT I can't claim the benefit. WTF?
